Main uses of industrial garnet sand

Industrial garnet sand is kind of natural emery sand.

Garnet sandblasting grit size 30/60

Industrial garnet sand is widely used in the following fields due to its high hardness, wear resistance and chemical stability:
1. Surface treatment
Metal surface treatment: used to remove rust, oxide layer and burrs on the metal surface, improve finish and precision, and enhance corrosion resistance and wear resistance.
Non-metal surface treatment: suitable for sandblasting and polishing of plastics, wood, glass and other materials to achieve uniform surface treatment effect.
2. Cutting and grinding
Water jet cutting: as a high-pressure water jet medium, it can accurately cut glass, rock slabs, ceramics, stainless steel and other materials, with a regular cutting surface and extended equipment life.
Precision grinding: used for ultra-fine grinding in the machinery industry, such as the processing of precision devices such as cathode ray tube glass shells, optical glass, silicon wafers, etc.
3. Construction engineering and industrial materials
Building reinforcement: added to concrete or paint to improve the wear resistance and compressive strength of buildings, ships and bridges.
‌Wear-resistant floor‌: used as aggregate for highways, airport runways, industrial floors, etc. to enhance the durability of the ground‌.
4. Environmental protection and filtration
‌Water treatment filtration‌: used as a filter medium to remove suspended matter and impurities in water, used in sewage treatment plants and chemical plants‌.
Sandblasting environmental protection‌: does not contain free silica, belongs to environmentally friendly sandblasting materials, avoids secondary pollution‌.
5. Other industrial applications
Precision casting‌: used as a filling material for casting molds to improve the surface quality of castings‌.
‌Biomedicine‌: has potential application value in special fields such as medical equipment manufacturing‌.
Note‌: The uses of garnet sand of different mesh sizes are significantly different. For example, 80mesh is suitable for fine cutting and polishing, while20-40mesh/30-60mesh is more suitable for sandblasting of large workpieces‌
